The Radiography programme at Bayero University commenced in 2008 alongside other professional courses such as Nursing science, and so far, seven (7) sets have successfully graduated. Currently, most of the graduates are employed in the public and private hospitals as medical Radiographers within and outside the country, meanwhile, some are engaged in some universities as lecturers. This indicates that the market/employability of the graduates is greenery. Because of the continuous advancement in information technology, more complex Radiological equipment such as computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound are produced every year which requires advanced knowledge and skills for their operation. Based on this, the department of medical Radiography has introduced a Master of Science degree in Radiography to develop high level medical and healthcare manpower that will be able to address emerging challenges. in addition, a PhD programme is underway that will produce researchers in the field of Radiography that will provide solutions to emerging challenges in medical imaging.
